The speech above was given by Martin Luther King on the night before he was assassinated. Even while seeming to anticipate his own death, he lived true to his convictions and stood strong in what he believed.
I’m thankful to have examples like Martin Luther King who have shown us all how to use real power to create positive change. Today is a day to recognize how fortunate we are to live in a country (a world?) where, no matter how messed up things get in the short term, the power of the oppressed always rises above the force of the oppressors.
